Jonathan with Twila Paris
produced all of Petra's albums starting with Never Say Die in 1981 and ending with Captured in Time & Space in 1986. He has also produced several of Greg X. Volz's solo efforts (The River Is Rising, Come Out Fighting, No Room In The Middle, The Exodus), and during the course of his career Jonathan has produced/recorded/engineered albums for many other well-known CCM luminaries: Steve Taylor (I Want To Be A Clone, Meltdown at Madame Toussaud's), Twila Paris (Keepin' My Eyes On You, The Warrior Is A Child, Kingdom Seekers, Same Girl, For Every Heart, It's The Thought), The Bill Gaither Trio (Welcome Back Home), Daniel Amos (Daniel Amos, Shotgun Angel), Mark Heard (Don't Stop The Dominoes), and First Call (Something Takes Over), as well as a flurry of albums featuring other familiar names such as Russ Taff, Kelly Willard, Andrae and Sandra Crouch, Jamie Owens-Collins, Michelle Pillar, Bob Bennett, Stephanie Boosahda, Michael James Murphy, Servant, David Meece, Morgan Cryar, Glen Campbell, Phillip Sandifer... the list goes on and on. His career was cut short in 1992 by what he calls a "Federal Sabbatical" — you will read more about that later.

Jonathan recently released a CD (as "The Nazarite") called Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God. Accompanying the Guide to Petra review of that album by Michael is an interview with Jonathan by longtime GTP enthusiast Sue Dempster... exclusively here at A Guide to Petra!
